David P. Hadland, D.V.M., is a native of Huntington, New York. He completed his undergraduate study at Cornell University, his veterinary medicinal degree at the University Of Parma, Italy; and obtained advanced clinical and surgical training at the University of Missouri. Dr. David P. Hadland trained in avian medicine with Dr. Giorgio Bussachi, of Bologna, at Zoo Norte and was instrumental in the vaccination and rescue of thousand of parrots during his work with Dr. Bussachi.
In 1985, Dr. Hadland opened the Animal Hospital of East Islip, now known as the East Islip Veterinary Group. In 1994, Dr. David P. Hadland moved to Hampton Bays, and opened his second veterinary practice, the Shinnecock Animal Hospital.
Dr. Hadland is an excellent practitioner and diagnostician; he received post graduate certification in Veterinary Medical Management through Perdue University. He lives with his son, two rescue cats and a Southampton Town Animal Shelter rescue dog. His is an avid surfer and audiophile.
